Terms of Service

Here are the things you need to know:

FULL TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS:
Deposits will not be refunded under any circumstance as we hold your items in good faith that you will proceed with their hire and must refuse other requests for these items while they are reserved for you. 

We do not offer refunds on balance payments. DO NOT pay the balance till the due date. 

Items may be swapped if your change is requested outside of 14 days from your hire date, to allow us time to recoup and re-hire items you have swapped.

If your change request is inside 14 days from your hire date we will be unable to swap items that have been booked for you. You may add items to your order where they are available. 

Our cancellation policy applies to ALL cancellations, covid-related or otherwise.

Cancellations due to Covid19:
If your event needs to be rescheduled due to a government announcement of a covid-19 event restrictions we will happily reschedule your dates free of charge, when you have a new date in place, or can offer a credit for future use. We do not offer refunds on any cancellations, covid related or otherwise. 

COLLECTIONS:
By appointment only on your hire start date, from our home studio at 26 Sorrento Street, Onerahi. Please let us know when you would like to collect and your ETA on the day so we can have your items ready for you when you arrive.

RETURNS:
Hired items (including all packaging) are to be returned on the agreed date and time Late fees will be charged per day (total cost/4 days) unless otherwise arranged with Confetti Collection.

OFFICE HOURS:
By Appointment. Please ensure you can collect and return at the agreed time.


BONDS:
We take a bond on all hire orders, this will be returned to you on return of the items in their original condition (including all packaging). Late, un-returned or damaged items and packaging will incur an additional charge or replacement/repair fee. Bonds are returned automatically to your NZ BANK ACCOUNT from which we receive payment on the following WEDNESDAY after your hire return. Refunds to credit cards or overseas bank accounts are not possible.

WET WEATHER:
Our games, and all wooden and metal decor must not be exposed to rain and care must be taken in high winds to ensure no damage occurs.
Our items are not all weatherproof. These items may not be used outdoors if there is a possibility they may be rained on. It is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure furniture does not get wet. A sufficient wet weather back up option will be required as a condition for hiring these items to ensure they do not get rained on.

DAMAGE AND LOSS:
All hire items become the responsibility of the Hirer, during the hire period. Any loss or damage will be subtracted from the bond and additional replacement or repair charges will be invoiced to the client.  

CREDIT CARD PAYMENT:
Payments by credit card will have an additional transaction fee added to the total (Fee% POA). Damages/loss/late fees will be charged to the same card unless otherwise requested, on notification to the customer of additional charges after your hire return. 

CLEANING:
All items must be returned empty and undamaged, in original packaging as provided to the Hirer.
Chalkboards do not need to be cleaned.

PACKAGING:
STORE ALL PACKAGING SAFELY - UNRETURNED OR DAMAGED boxes are charged for,  $5 per box for standard boxes and custom boxes for our larger and unique shaped items will be POA.

This will be automatically subtracted from your bond and the balance will be returned to your bank account the following week after your return with confirmation of the charge.

CANDLES IN CYLINDER VASES:
Vases must be returned empty. We recommend filling the bottom of the vase with water when you are using candles, which allows for easy candle removal. Please note we charge additional cleaning fees ($4.00 per vase) where candles melt and plug into the base of the vase as these require extra labour to remove.

ITEM CONDITION:
We pride ourselves on hiring unique quality decor. As hire items are often vintage and hired regularly they are supplied in good clean 'as used' condition. All Equipment is carefully checked when packed. It is the Hirer's responsibility to check the equipment upon receipt and notify us of any discrepancies and/or damages between the equipment supplied and the equipment ordered. Complaints made after the return or pickup of equipment will not be considered.
